One calendar note. Montana law lists Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and state general election day among its legal holidays (MCA § 1-1-216). A holiday that falls on a Sunday moves to the following Monday, and one that falls on a Saturday moves to the preceding Friday. If a court date, filing, or parenting exchange lands near one of them, check the calendar early.
